Add your business

If you run something in Richmond, BC and it is not on here yet, send me the details. Being listed costs nothing. I read every submission myself and check it before it goes up, so this takes a few days rather than a few minutes.

Cost: Nothing
Checked by: Me, by hand

Your business

The starred fields are the ones I cannot publish a page without. Everything else makes the listing better, and I would rather have it from you than guess at it later.

The business

Business name

I want the name as it reads on the sign, not the one on your license.

Category

The nearest one is fine. I move things around anyway.

Neighbourhood

Not sure exactly which one? Pick the closest; I'll fix it if it's off.

Price range

Street address

You can leave this blank if you work from home or drive out to customers.

Postal code

How people reach you

Phone

I use this to reach you about the listing. It is not published unless you ask me to publish it.

Website

An Instagram or Facebook page is fine if that is where you actually post.

In your words

Tell me what you do and what people should know

Plain sentences beat marketing copy here. I may trim it for length.

Photos

Logo

JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 8MB. Optional.

Photos

Up to 4; the inside, the outside, whatever you're proud of. JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 8MB each.

Submitting means you have read the terms and the privacy policy, and that you are entitled to list this business.

What happens next

1

It lands with me

It goes to my inbox, not to a queue and not to an address nobody reads.
2

I check it by hand

I look at the address, the hours and whether the phone number rings through to you. If something does not add up, I email you rather than guess. That is the part that takes the time.
3

It goes live

It usually takes two or three working days, longer if I am waiting on an answer from you. Then it sits in its category and its neighbourhood with a page of its own.

A few honest notes

Sending a listing is free, and nothing you send here moves you up a list. The only paid way up is the optional Premium upgrade.
A few trades sit outside what this directory covers. If yours is not in the category list, that is the reason, and it is nothing personal.
I edit for length and house style, and I may put you in a different category than the one you picked.
If you are already listed, do not send it in again. Claim the page instead and correct it there.

Check if you are already listed

You can ask me anything before you send it in. Write to me first.
