About Busy Bee Cleaners

Buswell Street cleaner offering dry cleaning, wash-and-fold laundry and an express turnaround option. It sits just behind the Richmond Centre block, which makes it walkable from a lot of the City Centre apartment towers.

A shared machine on your floor, or a stacking unit the size of a filing cabinet, turns one week of clothes into a two-day project. Laundry is the chore nobody factors in before moving into a City Centre tower. Paying somebody to handle wash-and-fold stops being a luxury in that situation and becomes a straightforward trade of money for a weekend, particularly for anybody working long shifts.

Busy Bee handles that alongside dry cleaning on Buswell Street, which runs behind the Richmond Centre block one street back from the No. 3 Road frontage. Buswell is where a good deal of the City Centre's practical business ended up as retail rents on the main road climbed. Small offices, service counters, cleaners. You would not find the street unless you were looking for it or you live in one of the towers around it.

Walking distance is what makes the location work. From most of the residential buildings between Westminster Highway and Granville Avenue this is ten minutes each way on foot, which means a drop-off does not require getting a car out of an underground stall and back into it again. Brighouse station is close if you are folding the errand into a Canada Line trip. The blocks immediately around Buswell have changed far less than the towers looming over them, and the service counters tucked along here are a reminder that the City Centre still runs on ordinary errands as much as it does on retail.

Where Locals Actually Eat in Richmond BC

Nothing on Alexandra Road is a secret. It is just in a strip mall with bad signage and no patio, which is why visitors never find it. Here is how I actually use Richmond's plazas and food courts, which specialists are worth the drive, and when not to bother.
