Alexandra Road is known for one thing, and it is not flowers. The strip is Richmond's densest run of restaurants, signs stacked above signs, and most people walk it hunting hot pot rather than a bouquet. Fannie's Florist occupies a small unit in among all that. Staff build hand-wrapped bouquets, wedding pieces and funeral tributes to order, and the position makes this one of the closer flower options to the Aberdeen malls.
If you are already in the Golden Village, whether shopping at Aberdeen, eating on the strip or visiting somebody in the towers nearby, picking up flowers without a separate trip across the city is worth real time. Richmond's florists are scattered, and plenty of people default to a supermarket bunch simply because they cannot face a second stop. Made-to-order work is a different product entirely, particularly for anything that has to look considered rather than convenient.
Funeral tributes and wedding work both need notice. The more specific the arrangement, the earlier the conversation should happen, and a week ahead is not excessive for anything unusual. For a same-day bouquet, phoning first tells you what is actually in the cooler that morning. That beats guessing from photographs taken in another season. Time the visit for mid-morning if you can, because Alexandra Road at peak restaurant hours is a stretch where circling rarely rewards patience.
