This corridor has changed enormously in twenty years, with towers replacing low retail on both sides, and the Cantonese bakeries are one of the few things that carried straight through it.
Egg tart preference is a genuine argument in this city, flaky pastry against the shortcrust version, and both camps are well represented within a few hundred metres of this door.
