About Fogg N' Suds

A Cambie Road beer bar and grill carrying the long-standing Vancouver name, with a wide international bottle list alongside the taps. Burgers, wings and pub plates, screens for the game, and easy parking. Convenient to the Bridgeport hotels.

A long international bottle list is a rarer thing than it used to be, and it is the reason to know about this one. Fogg N' Suds carries a name that has been on Vancouver signage for decades and does what the name promises, with bottles from a long way away alongside the taps, plus burgers, wings and pub plates, and screens showing whatever game is on.

The pub as a room you sit in for three hours has never taken hold in Richmond the way it has elsewhere in the region. Dining here runs to restaurants where you eat and leave, and the places that do work as pubs tend to sit near hotels, industrial land or the highway rather than in residential neighborhoods. Cambie Road is exactly that kind of address.

East Cambie runs east toward the highway through a mix of light industry, hotels, big-box retail and pockets of housing. It is not a neighborhood anyone wanders for pleasure. It is a neighborhood you go to for a specific thing, and a beer bar with a proper bottle list is a reasonable specific thing to go for. Being close to the Bridgeport hotels means you will often be sitting near people who landed that afternoon and are three time zones out of step, which makes for better conversation than a purely local crowd sometimes does.

Bridgeport Station is not far. Working out how you are getting home before you set off rather than after the second round is worth the two minutes it takes.
