About Mozza Restaurant & Lounge

The restaurant and lounge at the Radisson on Cambie Road, serving West Coast plates and casual Italian. The lounge side is the useful part: a quiet place for a drink near YVR, with parking and hours running from breakfast to late evening.

Anyone meeting someone near the airport with an hour to fill has fewer options in this part of Richmond than they expect. Mozza is the restaurant and lounge at the Radisson on Cambie Road, serving West Coast plates and casual Italian, and the lounge side is the useful half. A quiet drink that is not a food court and not a casino floor turns out to be a specific thing to want and a hard thing to find out here.

Cambie Road between No. 3 and the highway is hotels, offices and light industrial, built for cars, with almost no street-level social life within walking distance. West Cambie has changed a great deal further west, where the towers along Capstan Way have gone up and ground-floor retail arrived with them, but the stretch by the hotels still reads as airport hinterland. Hotel dining rooms end up doing more work in a city like this than they would elsewhere, because the alternatives thin out fast once the malls close.

Richmond is genuinely short of pubs for a city its size, which is the background condition worth understanding before judging a hotel lounge harshly. The people using this one are mostly working around a flight, a meeting or a layover rather than choosing a night out. For something to eat before a morning departure or a drink after landing, the location does most of the arguing on its own.

Where Locals Actually Eat in Richmond BC

Nothing on Alexandra Road is a secret. It is just in a strip mall with bad signage and no patio, which is why visitors never find it. Here is how I actually use Richmond's plazas and food courts, which specialists are worth the drive, and when not to bother.
