About Sky Nails

Broadmoor Village nail shop that has widened well past manicures and pedicures: nail enhancements, head spa treatments, lash extensions, microblading, waxing and a kids' menu. Handy for parents doing a two-person appointment.

A kids menu is not a small detail in a neighborhood like this one. Sky Nails works out of the Broadmoor plaza at No. 3 Road and Williams, and the service list has widened well past manicures and pedicures into nail enhancements, head spa treatments, lash extensions, microblading and waxing. The children's option is what makes a two-person appointment possible, so a parent can have something done while a child does too, instead of supervising for an hour from a plastic chair.

Broadmoor is family housing almost end to end, and the plazas serving it are built for practical errands rather than for browsing. There is none of the intensity of the Golden Village a few kilometres north. Businesses out here run on the households immediately around them, which usually means a salon works as a local convenience rather than a treat you plan a trip around. That is a different relationship, and it shows in how often people come back.

Two services on that list deserve research before booking. Head spa treatments run longer than most people expect, and microblading is semi-permanent work on your face, so a consultation first is the reasonable move rather than walking in cold and deciding at the counter. Ask to see healed results rather than fresh ones, because fresh work always looks its best. For a straightforward manicure none of that applies, and the appeal is simply that it is close to home.

Where Locals Actually Eat in Richmond BC

Nothing on Alexandra Road is a secret. It is just in a strip mall with bad signage and no patio, which is why visitors never find it. Here is how I actually use Richmond's plazas and food courts, which specialists are worth the drive, and when not to bother.

Terra Nova Rural Park and the West Dyke Trail
