Both wire braces and Invisalign are handled in house here, which is worth knowing because plenty of general practices refer orthodontics out and you tend to discover that only after the first consultation. The rest of the list is what a family practice usually looks like: hygiene and checkups as the backbone, then crowns, dentures and implants for the work that arrives later in life.
Staff speaking Cantonese, Mandarin and Taiwanese is a practical matter in this city rather than a bonus feature. Dental work involves consent to a treatment plan, a sequence of appointments and a conversation about what is optional, and an older relative should be able to follow all of that without a family member translating in the chair. Richmond has enough multilingual practices that nobody needs to settle for less than being understood properly.
Terra Nova occupies the northwest corner of the city, where the street grid runs out into the dyke, the rural park and the flats along the river mouth. It is quiet and almost entirely residential, and the plaza at Westminster Highway and No. 1 Road serves as the neighborhood's whole commercial centre. This practice sits upstairs there. For anyone living in Terra Nova, Seafair or the streets off No. 1 Road, the appeal is geographic as much as clinical, because you can reach an appointment without touching the No. 3 Road corridor at all, which on a weekday morning is worth a great deal.
