Yoga Studios in Richmond

2 published yoga studios Richmond, BC

Studios follow the towers. City Centre and Brighouse hold most of Richmond's yoga, within walking distance of the Canada Line, and the schedules there are built around a commuting membership: early morning, lunch hour, and a heavy block after work. Hot, flow, hatha and prenatal are all represented, and several studios teach in Mandarin as well as English.

Away from the centre it is quieter and more local: small studios in Steveston, in the Blundell and Seafair plazas and above the retail units on Granville Avenue, plus drop-in classes at the community centres and outdoor summer sessions at Garry Point and Terra Nova. Listings note class types, hours and whether drop-ins or intro passes are available.

Where Locals Actually Eat in Richmond BC

Nothing on Alexandra Road is a hidden gem. It is just in a strip mall with bad signage and no patio, which is why visitors never find it. Here is how I actually use Richmond's plazas and food courts, which specialists are worth the drive, and when not to bother.

Terra Nova Rural Park and the West Dyke Trail

The West Dyke Trail is about five and a half kilometres of flat gravel between Terra Nova Rural Park and Garry Point, and I ride it most mornings. Here is what is actually at the north end, which way to walk so the wind is on your side, and why winter is the better season for it.

Steveston Village: A Complete Guide to the Waterfront and Beyond

I live four blocks off Moncton Street, so this is the Steveston I actually use: where to park before the Bayview lots fill, how to buy fish straight off the boats at the wharf, the honest answer to the Pajo's versus Dave's question, and why the history here is not decoration.
