About Ackroyd Pharmacy

Small independent pharmacy on Ackroyd Road in the City Centre, in the same block as several medical and walk-in offices, which makes it an easy stop straight after an appointment. Prescription dispensing and pharmacist medication advice.

Time is what an independent pharmacy actually sells, whatever the sign says. A pharmacist who is not managing a queue forty deep can talk through an interaction properly, explain what a new prescription is going to do, and check it against everything else you are already taking. That conversation is the product. Dispensing is the mechanical part.

Consolidating prescriptions in one place is the advice worth taking from this whole category. A single counter sees the full picture, which is how interactions get caught, and refills and renewals become considerably less painful. A small independent somewhere you already pass is a good candidate for that job.

Ackroyd Road runs east to west between No. 3 Road and Cooney, tucked behind the Lansdowne frontage, collecting the medical, professional and service uses that do not need a shop window. Several clinics sit on this block, so an appointment and a prescription counter can happen without moving the car. Anybody who has driven across town holding a paper script will recognize what that is worth.

Both Lansdowne and Brighouse stations are within a walk, which makes the whole errand workable from anywhere along the Canada Line. The block follows the clinics around it: busy on weekday mornings, close to empty at the weekend. Early in the day is the crowded window if you are trying to avoid one.

Where Locals Actually Eat in Richmond BC

Nothing on Alexandra Road is a secret. It is just in a strip mall with bad signage and no patio, which is why visitors never find it. Here is how I actually use Richmond's plazas and food courts, which specialists are worth the drive, and when not to bother.
