Walking distance is the whole business model for a small pharmacy, and this one sits inside the civic precinct where most of the relevant errands already happen. The doctor, city hall, the aquatic centre, the seniors center in Minoru Park: much of what brings people to this part of Westminster Highway is within a few minutes on foot of the counter.
The operation is compact and does the core work of dispensing and pharmacist advice. Ground-floor access without a step sounds like a minor detail until you are the person pushing a wheelchair around a City Centre plaza looking for a ramp. Small things like that decide where people go. A pharmacy is not somewhere anybody wants to spend effort reaching, particularly when they are collecting something they already feel unwell enough to need.
There is a general case for small pharmacies that applies here. A compact shop with the same pharmacist behind the counter each week is a different service from a chain counter with a queue and rotating staff, and the difference is sharpest for anybody managing several medications or looking after a parent. You can ask a question without taking a number. The trade-off is a smaller front-of-store range and less flexibility about when you can go. Minoru Park across the way is worth folding into the trip when the weather cooperates, since the loop through it is flat and easy and the civic blocks are the calmest corner of the City Centre.
