Five heavy dinners in a row is a real problem in this part of Richmond. The blocks around Alexandra Road and the McClelland towers run to hot pot, barbecue, skewers and late-night noodle houses, which is why the area has the reputation it does and why it is genuinely one of the best eating districts in the country. It is also why a light, fast counter belongs here.
Quick service is the whole proposition. You order at the counter, you carry it away, and you are out in a few minutes, which matters because there is a large working population in the offices and towers around here and a limited number of places that will feed anybody in under fifteen minutes without deep frying something first.
McClelland Road sits behind the Alexandra Road strip in a newer pocket of towers and podium retail, close to Aberdeen and the Canada Line but off the main pedestrian run. That position makes it function more like a service for the buildings around it than a destination, which is a perfectly fair way to use it.
Treat this as the weekday counterweight rather than the reason to come to West Cambie. The evening version of this neighborhood is one of the great eating experiences in Metro Vancouver and nobody should skip it. The daytime version needs somewhere to put lunch that does not end the afternoon, and that gap is real.

A tiny Cantonese barbecue counter in the Superstore plaza on No. 3 Road, long regarded as one of the best in the region. Char siu, crackling-skin roast pork and soy chicken are chopped to order over rice. Small space, quick queue, and it sells out early.
