About House of Colour by L'Oreal Professionnel

A small No. 3 Road salon built around color work, from single-process tints to correction jobs people bring in from elsewhere. Appointments also include scalp massage and deep conditioning, so a color visit runs long rather than rushed.

People turn up here after a bad box dye or an ambitious holiday experiment, and that is a real share of the business. Plenty of salons will do a tint. Far fewer will take on a job somebody else started. This small No. 3 Road salon works that end of the trade, from single-process tints through to correction work brought in from elsewhere.

Appointments include scalp massage and deep conditioning, which tells you about the pace of a visit as much as the service list does. Color runs long by nature, because processing time cannot be hurried. A salon that builds treatment into the slot is not trying to turn the chair over quickly, and a price bracket at the upper end for Richmond is consistent with working that way.

The 4940 address sits on the City Centre stretch of No. 3 Road, with Aberdeen and Lansdowne stations at either end of that run, so the Canada Line is a reasonable way in. This corridor is the spine of the city, six lanes with the train above the middle of it, and the small units at street level hold an enormous share of the local service economy: salons, clinics, tutoring, insurance. You can drive the whole road and notice none of it.

Correction work usually needs a consultation before anyone commits to a slot. Describing the history honestly on the phone, including what was put on the hair and when, saves everybody a wasted appointment.
