About Mophead Aberdeen

Busy second-floor salon inside Aberdeen Centre with thousands of reviews behind it. Strong on Asian hair texture, precision cuts and bleach work, and easy to pair with a mall trip since you are already parked underneath.

Finding a stylist who understands coarse, straight, dark hair should not be hard in Richmond, and somehow it still is. Plenty of salons will cut it competently. Fewer will lift and color it without wrecking the condition, and that gap is where reputations in this city get made. Mophead states a focus on Asian hair texture, precision cutting and color work that involves bleach.

Being inside Aberdeen Centre changes the logistics of a long appointment. Color runs long by nature, and a mall is a far better place to spend two or three hours than a standalone storefront on a strip with nothing around it. Groceries, lunch and whatever else was on the list are all under the same roof. If somebody is dropping you off, Aberdeen station sits directly across Hazelbridge Way.

Two things are worth knowing before booking anything technical. Busy salons fill their calendars early and the sought-after stylists fill theirs earlier, so a same-week appointment involving bleach is optimistic in this part of Richmond. Technical color is also slow work everywhere. A rushed version of it looks worse than none. Weekend afternoons are the busiest window in the whole Golden Village, so a weekday slot buys you a calmer walk in and a calmer walk out. That is not a small consideration when the appointment itself already takes half a day.

Where Locals Actually Eat in Richmond BC

Nothing on Alexandra Road is a secret. It is just in a strip mall with bad signage and no patio, which is why visitors never find it. Here is how I actually use Richmond's plazas and food courts, which specialists are worth the drive, and when not to bother.
