About Legends Pub & Restaurant

Richmond's long-running sports pub on Blundell Road, with more than thirty screens including three large ones. There are separate pub and dining sides, weekend entertainment, and standard pub food. The default neighborhood spot for watching a game.

A playoff night is the wrong time to arrive without a plan. Legends is the sports pub on Blundell Road, built around screens rather than around a menu, and a room like that still only has so many seats with a clear view of the main one. Those go early. Anyone planning an evening around a specific match should call ahead, confirm the game is going up, and ask which part of the building it will be showing in.

Blundell Road runs through the residential middle of Richmond, well away from the No. 3 Road corridor and the Golden Village malls, so the customers here are mostly people who live within a short drive. That changes the room. A pub in the middle of a suburb behaves like a local, with regulars and a rhythm to the week, in a way that a downtown sports bar surrounded by hotels never manages. It works as a neighborhood institution rather than a destination.

The other thing to sort out before going is who is coming with you. Licensing in British Columbia treats pub areas and dining areas differently, and whether anyone under nineteen can sit with you depends on which side of the building you end up in. Ask when you call. On an ordinary weeknight none of this matters much and you can simply turn up, which is most of the appeal of having a place like this a few minutes from home.
