Drying out a soaked building is only the first of three jobs. The belongings inside it need separate handling, and the structure itself often needs rebuilding once the drying and cleaning are finished. Taylor Restoration is set up for all three stages, so a single call can cover work that otherwise means lining up a drying crew, a cleaner and a carpenter in sequence.
Phone lines are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and the company says a crew is dispatched within the hour. Its flood and water damage work runs from extraction and structural drying through flooded basements, sewer backups and frozen or burst pipes. Fire jobs start with emergency pre-cleaning and corrosion mitigation, then move on to wall and ceiling cleaning and smoke deodorisation. Mould and mildew remediation sits on the same list, and so does reconstruction where damage goes past drying and cleaning.
Separate from the building itself, damaged belongings form their own category of work. The company's contents restoration service takes in books and documents, laundry and dry cleaning, appliance servicing, art and electronics, so soaked paperwork and residue-covered equipment are dealt with apart from the walls and floors around them. A break and enter brings a different list again: property cleanup, board up, lock changes, glass removal and spray paint removal.
In business since 2006 and family run, the company describes its team as trained through the IICRC, the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification, and says its work follows WorkSafeBC procedures. It is bonded and insured and holds an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. What it offers on the insurance side is experience with a range of policies, help preparing a claim, and direct dealings with the insurer on the customer's behalf.
The office sits on 53 Avenue in Surrey, and the municipalities named on the company's own service list are Abbotsford, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Delta, New Westminster, White Rock, Surrey, Langley, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody, with the coverage described more broadly as the Lower Mainland.
