Register with a clinic while nothing is wrong. That is the whole of the advice, and it is worth acting on here because this practice is accepting new patients, which has become harder to find. Veterinary capacity across Metro Vancouver has been tight for several years, and a clinic willing to take your animal on as a regular patient rather than as a one-off emergency is not something to sit on.

The Saturday opening deserves attention. Getting a nervous dog to a weekday appointment usually means taking time off work, and a clinic running six days removes that problem for anything routine.
The location is central for the south half of the city. No. 3 Road here runs through Broadmoor between Blundell and Williams, so you are a few minutes from Seafair, Broadmoor and the middle of Richmond, and it is not a bad run from Steveston either. Ask about fees and about after-hours arrangements when you call. That second answer is the one you will want at 11pm on a Sunday, and that is a bad moment to be discovering it for the first time.
