About Seafair Animal Clinic

West Richmond vet tucked into the Seafair Shopping Centre, in business since 1983 and now paired with Ironwood Animal Hospital under the same ownership. General medical, surgical and dental care for dogs, cats and small pets.

Seafair Animal Clinic covers dental work alongside general medical and surgical care for dogs, cats and small pets, operating from the Seafair Shopping Centre on No. 1 Road under the same ownership as Ironwood Animal Hospital. Dental is the part owners underestimate most, and it is quietly causing problems in a great many older animals.

West Richmond is dog country and the numbers bear it out. The West Dyke Trail runs the full western edge of the city from Terra Nova down to Garry Point, and on any given morning it carries a steady stream of people walking, running or cycling with an animal attached. Having a vet on this side of the city rather than across it matters enormously on the day something goes wrong.

Seafair itself is a quiet residential pocket between Blundell and Francis, and the shopping center is its local hub, holding a mix of everyday services and nothing that pulls people in from elsewhere. That is what makes an appointment easy. You are not navigating a parkade with a nervous animal on your hip and a carrier that will not sit level.

Ask about after-hours arrangements before you need them rather than during the emergency itself. Every owner learns that lesson eventually, and the ones who learn it at eleven at night learn it expensively. Knowing in advance which clinic handles overnight cases, and how far away it is, is fifteen minutes of preparation that pays for itself the first time it is needed.

Where Locals Actually Eat in Richmond BC

Nothing on Alexandra Road is a secret. It is just in a strip mall with bad signage and no patio, which is why visitors never find it. Here is how I actually use Richmond's plazas and food courts, which specialists are worth the drive, and when not to bother.

Terra Nova Rural Park and the West Dyke Trail
