Bridgeport sits at Richmond's northern edge, where traffic from the Knight Street Bridge, the Oak Street Bridge and the Canada Line converges before spreading south across the island. The dyke trails that follow Richmond's river edges give the north end of the island a quieter side within reach of the freight and commuter movement a block inland.
